Brief Bio

Dr. Du earned his B.S. (2010) and Ph.D. (2015) from Fudan University. Following his doctorate, he conducted postdoctoral research at Rutgers University, where he was subsequently promoted to Research Associate (2020-2025). In 2025, he returned to Fudan University to assume his current role as an Associate Professor. His research program is dedicated to the fabrication of novel quantum materials and the nanoscale characterization of their electronic and magnetic properties. He is an expert in advanced scanning probe microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy techniques. Dr. Du's work has been published in over 36 high-impact journals, including Nature Physics, Nature Communications, PNAS, and Advanced Materials. He is also a frequent invited speaker at major international conferences, such as the APS March Meeting and the MRS Fall Meeting.

Research Interest

1) Magnetic orders and their manipulation in 2D magnets.

2) Antiferromagentic order and antiferromagentic spintronics.

3) Multiferroics and magnetoelectric couplings.
